It doesn't matter if you know what I look like or if you don't, but if you don't you can just base whoever you decide to PB me with on my personality OR I can show you a picture, I don't care.

But this is how it goes:

1) You link me to icons (or a picture) of the PB
2) You tell me why you chose that person
3) You tell me what fictional character you'd use me for (it can be a canon multi-fandom character -- i.e. Hermione Granger or Sally-Anne Perks, Storm from X-Men, Princess Leia from Star Wars, etc. --, or an original...)
4) I will do the same for you if you repost this meme in YOUR JOURNAL!

I’m trying to remember what fandoms I’ve been in that actually required me to find played-bys. I think I’ve mostly been primarily in the X-Men fandom, and it’s been Wolfsbane, Shadowcat, Illyana Rasputin, and Doug Ramsey (not playing him right now, but plan to eventually). Can’t think of anyone else right now.

I don’t have a journal over at scribbld, and I really don’t know anything about the place. However, since a lot of icon journals seem to be headed that way, an invite code would be lovely.

Has anyone else been having problems with comment notifications here? I haven't been e-mailed any comments for any of my journals for at least the last two days. I only noticed when I went back to check something, thinking there hadn't ever been a response--and found out there had been.

Also, I'll be closing the Rahne PB poll tomorrow at noon, for anyone that cares to vote and break the tie.

I went to see how the poll for a Rahne PB was faring--and, apparently, it had broken at some point. I assume it's some sort of GJ glitch, but I’m trying it again--after going through my friends list and guessing who was on it before.

For those that are leaving GJ, I am calliopes_pen on both IJ and LJ. Just in case anyone wonders who the strange person that friended them is. I've been trying to friend people in both spots as they mention where they are going.

By the way, does anyone know if there are any groups for people looking for X-Men RPG's over on Insanejournal?

In related news, I'm starting to save the things on GJ that I might need the most. Like a post I once found that listed a lot of good PB's for X-Men characters, as well as logs and threads from when I played Rahne Sinclair. Still working on finding the few remaining things over here for my Illyana Rasputin rping.

I'm not on Commiejournal because I don't know enough about it. From the little I have heard, it sounds like it's been down a lot in the past couple of days.

Looks like blonde Kristen Stewart is currently winning the Illyana poll. I’m closing the poll around 6 PM CST, and the winner at that point will be the PB I’ll be using. Anyone who wants to can still vote for now, though.

Over on character_pics (On LJ), I made a post to try to find a better Illyana PB than Elizabeth Harnois, since she seems to be a bit overused these days. Here’s a link to the post. Based on the description in that post, does anyone happen to have any better suggestions for a PB? Harry Potter and Lost PB’s are usually banned, so please don’t suggest Emile De Ravin.

And here’s a poll, if anyone would rather write it in there instead of posting a comment here or there. Multiple suggestions would be great.

I found a post where cheerupemoboy has listed tons of possible PB’s for each X-Men universe character. Those who are in RPG’s in that fandom who don't have them friended already might find it useful. Older characters and new alike.

The Fantastic Adventures of Unico is coming to DVD, for those that are interested. There’s a chance the other movie may as well. Very few I've spoken to seem to even remember the Unico movies from their childhood.

I'm cross-posting this here, LJ and on IJ. The first point probably affects quite a few on my friends list, and I wanted to warn those who hadn't already heard.

On GJ--without warning--the number of icons allowed was reduced from 2000 to 100. From what I understand, the icons after 100 (no rhyme or reason to which ones) are frozen and cannot be used, but they may be deleted at some point. If you think this is wrong, and you are currently on GJ, please vote here--that’s over on their official news group. I think this likely affects a couple of my old rp journals. Oh, and I believe they removed comment notifications, too. That might be temporary, though.

And there’s an Illyana PB (the icons used for the character for those who don't know what it means) poll that I need votes on, over here. Not the same one as yesterday. If anyone thinks I need to repost the poll here for easier voting for everyone, simply let me know. I’m not sure if most of my friends list is there or here right now.

As of 4:50 PM, the temperature is apparently 105 degrees. We could really use some rain.

If I could add anyone else to that list, I would have to add Jack Harkness, from what I saw of him in season 1 of the newest Doctor Who. We could use him for charm--while Amanda would steal whatever was needed. And use Joe Dawson if any spying needed to be done.

I am going to be sending in an application for the character of Illyana Rasputin, and I am having a little trouble deciding on the right PB for her. I thought maybe my friends list could help out, so I have a poll. I won’t be sending in the app for a couple of days, so that’s enough time for everyone to vote, I would imagine.

Also, just in case anyone doesn’t know who certain people are on the list, I’ve linked to icons of each.

Does anyone on my friends list know of any groups where people can post looking for games, rather than just tons of game ads? Either on GJ, IJ, or LJ. I knew of playerseeksrpg over here, but since that's gone, does anyone know of any others that are good?

Preferably one that would allow more than one fandom--I've seen one devoted entirely to Harry Potter, and since I'm not in that fandom I wouldn't be able to post there.
